Overview
Moritex Corporation is a Japanese photonics technology company with subsidiaries in China, Hong Kong, Europe and the United States (hereafter “Moritex”). Moritex is a world leading provider of innovative enabling technologies and products based on optics, fiber optics, imaging, and automation technologies.
Moritex's target markets include, but are not limited to, automotive; semiconductor, electronics & flat panel production equipment; medical equipment; biotech; pharmaceutical; esthetic skin care and optical telecommunications.
Moritex maintains production facilities in Japan and China with sales, marketing and technical support offices in Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany.
The majority (about 75%) of total corporate revenue is derived mainly from two business areas; machine vision and related products and services; and telecommunication devices and systems. Moritex recently issued a new corporate directive in May of 2007 titled "Global 10." This corporate roadmap highlights three areas for corporate expansion.

History
Moritex was established in 1973 and held an initial public offering on the JASDAQ market in 1997. Moritex shares were subsequently moved to the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December of 2000.
